Virginia Amateur Sports is searching for an innovative, self-driven, results oriented person to oversee the daily operations of the business. The operations include the successful organization and planning of the Subway Commonwealth Games and a number of other Special Events as well as being actively involved in the registration, accounting, website management and internship files for the organization.
The successful candidate will be a self motivated professional individual with a passion for sports, people and organizing/planning. Additional skills and experience should include:
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to work with a diverse collection of people
- Long range planning and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate, motivate via written, electronic and orally
- Sufficiently mobile and flexible to work a various work schedule including some weekends
- Creativity in designing ads for multiple publications - print and electronic
